Consultation Guides
Preparing a Document List Before Consultation
Organize the materials you have without sending confidential documents in the first message.
Group materials by purpose
Separate agreements, letters, land documents, and communication records according to your matter. You do not need every document type. Note what is available and what you do not have.
Record basic details
List each document’s name or type, its date if known, and how it relates to the matter. Distinguish different agreement versions. Avoid changing original materials while making your notes.
Keep the first message brief
The first message only needs a summary and document types. Do not copy identity numbers, account details, or confidential information. Once the team understands your need, confirm which documents require review and how to share them.
Ask about additional materials
During consultation, ask whether any information is missing. Note who will prepare it and when it can be discussed again. An organized list supports the conversation but does not replace document review by the professional handling your matter.
